Billy is currently working at Baker Hughes Australia as a Graduate Field Engineer in the completion & production department. The role is challenging and rewarding; no two days are the same. As a Field Engineer, he works in a global team and is responsible for applying some of the world’s most advanced engineering, drilling & completion technologies for the upstream oil & gas industry. This means spending long periods of time on the rig when required.

Baker Hughes is one of the world’s largest oilfield services companies. This means Billy  gets to work in leading global projects throughout the world.

Baker Hughes Inc. gives Billy the ability to drive his own career. "International mobility is also very important to me; the graduate program gives me the opportunity to work and attend training all over the world. I am due to attend training in Houston and Dubai as part of my Graduate Engineering program". 

Billy's story is one of the thousands of international graduate success stories from the minerals and energy sector. 

Saksara, in association with the WA government, and all WA government universities and education institutions, will host the Study and Careers in Minerals and Energy for Indonesia Event on 5-6 October 2014 in Jakarta and Bandung.
