Indo-Oz Students Report WAGOV Final.jpg

Influence factors, connections, and experiences of Indonesian students in Australia

In October 2018, Saksara Research conducted a survey of more than 420 Indonesian students studying in Australia. We explored the factors that influenced their study destination choices, the connections that define their relationship with Australia, and their experiences of studying in Australia. We surveyed students in pathways to university, undergraduate studies, postgraduate studies and higher degrees by research. We likewise differentiated the factors that influence their study choices by level of study. The goal of this research is to better understand the broad factors that contribute to Indonesian student choices. The scale of this research may better inform those with leadership portfolios regarding future Indonesia strategies, and likewise enable a more nuanced approach to marketing and recruitment
